Mother is a wall sculpture made from a naturally aged cross-section of buttonwood tree, found in the Redlands, Florida. The wood’s growth rings, cracks, and bark edge are left fully intact — evidence of years of sun and weather. A cast bronze nipple is centered at the core. Pink pigment washes the surface.
The piece draws a direct line between the female body and the natural world — both providers, both enduring. One of a kind.
