Carved from solid elm and inset with grids of vintage tile, these sculptures sit at the edge of furniture and fine art. Seating, surface, pedestal — their function is open. The work draws from the same grid systems used to map land, divide property, and build cities: man’s need to contain what nature never agreed to.
